Below you will find the call for book chapter proposals that will be open until June 14, 2024. The edited volume will be published in the last quarter of 2024.

In recent years, we have been experiencing different crises and social changes that are producing growing discomfort among teachers and students at all educational levels. This discomfort, prolonged over time, is also affecting social and emotional health. The edited volume “Fostering health and wellbeing in the classroom” is aimed to publish research, innovations, ideas, projects, programs, methodologies that are being carried out in classrooms to improve the health and well-being of teachers and students.
Adaya Press welcomes proposals for book chapters in English, Spanish, French, Italian or Portuguese, which address topics such as: Interdisciplinary projects, Special Education, Arts, Wellbeing, Social/emotional health, burnout. Other related topics can be proposed at adayapress[at]gmail.com
Important dates
June 14, 2024: Full book chapter submission deadline.
July 19, 2024: Notification of the result of the review.
July 31, 2024: Payment Deadline (Publication Processing Fee – PPF)
September 12, 2024: Author review deadline (if required)
October – December, 2024: Digital publication in Open Access
Submission process
Send your book chapter proposal by June 14, 2024 to the following email: editor[at]adayapress.com. Within approximately 5 weeks you will be notified about the peer review. The chapter proposal may be returned to the author for review or with a final acceptance. Proposals that do not comply with the call for book chapters will be rejected and the authors will be informed. If the proposal is accepted, the authors will be invited to make the payment of the TPP. Final acceptance of a book chapter for publication will depend on positive peer review reports. Please note that the TPP payment deadline will be July 31, 2024. If the payment is not processed by the deadline, it will be understood that the author refuses to continue with the publication process. Accepted proposals will be made available in open access under a Creative Commons: Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.
Submission guidelines and publication processing fee
The length of the book chapter will be between 4,000 and 5,000 words (8-10 pages). For more information on how to prepare book chapter submissions, see the guidelines for authors HERE.
The book chapter publication processing fee (TPP) is 290 euros + 4% VAT (if applicable) per chapter. The TPP is intended to cover the costs of our editing and publishing services, and will apply once the full proposal has received final acceptance after peer review.
